双语经典 | 《采访上帝》：人生的道理，都在这首诗里了

今天跟大家分享一首英文诗 An interview with God （采访上帝）。多年以前，它曾经深深的打动了我。不管你是否有信仰，有什么信仰，里面关于人生的道理是普适的。能明白并实践这些道理的人，将少走很多人生弯路，也将更可能得到真正的幸福。

吉米布朗（late James (Jim) Brown）：关于这首诗的作者，没有准确的出处，我在网上做了一个小调查，貌似原版作者是 late James (Jim) Brown – 笔名 James J. Lachard。而且更富有讽刺意味的是，这首诗歌并没有得到出版商的赏识，却在未发表的情况下，在网络上流传起来，最后竟然杜撰到达赖喇嘛的身上。原作者在死前发现了自己的作品在匿名的情况下流传广泛。据说，他表现的很平静，只是说 “If God can use it, then so be it”. （如果上帝能使用它，那就这样吧。）

An interview with God

I dreamed I had an interview with God.

“So you would like to interview me?” God asked.
“If you have the time”, I said … God Smiled.
“My time is eternity, … what questions do you have in mind for me?”

“What surprises you most about humankind?” …
God answered.
“That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up and then long to be children again”
“That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health.”
“That by thinking anxiously about the future, that they forget the present, such that they live neither in the present nor the future.”
“That they live as if they will never die and die as if they had never lived.”

God’s hand took mine and we were silent for a while. And then I asked.

“As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons that you want your children to learn?”
God replied with a smile.
“To learn they cannot make anyone love them, what they can do is let themselves be loved.”
“To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.”
“To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least.”
“To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love and it takes many years to heal them.”
“To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.”
“To learn that there are persons who love them dearly, but simply do not know how to express or show their feelings.”
“To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.”
‘To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others, but that they must forgive themselves.”

‘Thank you for your time,‘ I said humbly，’ Is there anything else you would like your children to know?’
God smiled and said, “And to learn that I am here … ALWAYS.”

我梦见自己有幸采访上帝

“那么你想采访我？”上帝问
“如果你有时间。”我说。上帝笑了
“我的时间是永恒。。。你想问什么问题呢？”

“关于人类的哪些地方是最让你吃惊的呢？”

上帝回答：
“他们对童年感到厌倦而急于长大，长大了又想做回孩子。”
“他们牺牲健康来换取金钱，然后又牺牲金钱来修复健康。”
“他们焦虑地思考着未来而忽视了现在，以至于既没有生活在现在，也没有生活在未来。”
“他们活着的时候好像永远不会死去，死去的时候好像从来没有生活过。”

上帝的手拉着我的手，我们沉默了一会儿。然后我问
“作为父亲，有哪些道理是你希望你的孩子们明白的呢？”

上帝笑着说：
“要明白他们不能让任何人爱自己。他们只能让自己被爱。”
“要明白跟他人比较是不好的”
“要明白一个富有的人不是拥有最多的人，而是需求最少的人”
“要明白在所爱的人身上打开一道深深的伤口只需要几秒钟，而愈合伤口却需要很多年的时间"
"要通过练习原谅来学会原谅”
“要明白有一些人非常爱自己，只是不知道如何表达”
“要明白两个人可以看着同一物体，却看到不同的东西。”
“要明白仅仅得到他人的原谅是不够的，他们必须能够原谅自己。”

“谢谢你的时间,"我谦卑地说，“还有什么是你想让你的孩子知道的吗？”

上帝笑着说，“要知道，我就在这里，永远。”
