忧伤中蕴含着宁静，钢琴曲《斯卡布罗集市》(Scarborough Fair)

由古老的英国民歌旋律加上幽怨的诗句形成最著名的爱情歌曲《斯卡布罗集市》已被世界众多艺术家改编成无数版本。

从这首音乐的结构中我们可以察觉到更多北欧音乐的曲调，这是由于在英国早期还未形成帝国之前也被北方彪悍的凯尔特人以及维京海盗所侵扰，一些地方有着远离家乡的异族存在，逐渐融合当地文化后形成了新的音乐形式。

美国钢琴家保罗卡德尔（Paul Cardall）演奏的《斯卡布罗集市》具有鲜明的个人风格，他是从一个作曲家的角度重新编排了这首经典的作品。

保罗的版本细腻而又温情，钢琴曲中携带着优美的弦乐。在欣赏他的音乐演奏中，我的脑海中也浮现了广袤的自然风光，古老和谐的民族性格，以及人们在交往过程中的礼尚智慧，当然少不了男女之间的爱情元素。

钢琴家保罗卡德尔的演奏情感完全来自于他的内心深处。出生即有先天性心脏病，从小就承受着病痛与手术的折磨，还未高中毕业他最好的朋友就早早离世，这都给了他无尽的生活磨练，

保罗对于音乐中的丝丝温情要比其他艺术家更容易察觉，并在演奏出给予更深的不比常人的内涵，让我们听起来忧伤中蕴含着宁静，在不躲避的伤痛中寻找到缕缕的光线，每一次的欣赏都是舒心的感动。

保罗的《斯卡布罗集市》不同于其他艺术家之处在于：清澈空灵的音符深入到了听众的内心世界，在触摸人们心灵的同时也让生活变得充满希望。
